Last night they brought me saltines and soup and magazines, my friends. Sadly, Hillary Duff was on the cover of one, so if I wasn't throwing up already, etc. No, but really, magazines always make me feel better, as do saltines. I felt very much better today except right now I feel kind of awful again. But not awful in a "God, please have mercy on me" way. More of a "God, why did you let me eat sauce" kind of way. Even though I sure as heck didn't eat sauce. I watched "Taxi Driver" today. First time ever. No, really. It was good, but I didn't get the end I don't think. The whole end was kind of like "huh" (not in a totally tacked on, more screentime for Laura Linney "Mystic River" kind of way -- have I ripped into this yet? I mean to wait until I finish the book to make it official), but the very second of the end, when he drops off Cybill Shepard and looks in the rearview and then looks again in the rearview with a face of shock or something? I don't get it. And don't harp on me for "spoilers." If a movie is that old, I'm not spoiling anything. Before I got sick again, I'd written this long entry about these couple of songs I'd been thinking about and how people shouldn't write songs with lines like "I should have forgotten you long ago/ But you're in every song I know" because that just encourages it, doesn't it? but of course I lost the entry, like I do. Ugh. Movable Type, I'm going to start working on you again soon. Is this Megan Mullally SNL really lame so far, or is it me? Maybe I shouldn't watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVDs before next time. I mean, how can you top that? Also, they keep showing "Beavis & Butt-head" on MTV2 (where the music's at, indeed) and they keep showing the awesome time they played Chavez and made the best funniest jokes ever. Man, I love that one. ... say something, anything (3)
