Remember how I was saying last time I haven't heard any new music? Well since then, I have. I know I am supposed to think Missy Elliott's new album is really awesome and great, but I don't. It's insanely derivative, I mean like off-the-charts biting. I felt like it was 1986 and I was at Evad's getting me some quarter water and a pack of Now and Laters. For real. It's a good feeling, but not one I want to pay $20 for, certainly not when every other word is pussy. Come on now, that's just not cool. Give me a fucking break, lady.
Now Audioslave, on the other hand, is a good album. And you know how much I hate Rage Against the Machine. This just sounds like a good Soundgarden record though. I am pleased. I think I love the Transplants, which has Tim Armstrong and Travis Barker and songs that are all over the place. One sounds like some early 90s Happy Mondays Madchester dance number. Of course, that is my favorite. Yeah, so all that stuff, but right now my number one favorite song is "Wishing" by A Flock of Seagulls. You know, "If I had a photograph of you, something to remind me..." You love it too, don't you. Well, you should. Someone at work played it last week and I downloaded it and have been super happy since. Yippee! Friday you should come to Fez and see Jedediah Parish play with Mike Viola. I bet famous people will be there. Also, they are fantastic. ... say something, anything (2)
